Meet Tina and Robin, who are currently doing their internship at Zervicepoint!
Who are you?
Tina: My name is Tina Lagesson, and I am currently in my final semester of the .NET program at IT-Högskolan. I’m new to the developer role, but not to working life – I bring many years of experience in service, structure, and making things work smoothly in practice.
I enjoy problem-solving, clear communication, and building solutions that are both visually appealing and user-friendly. I’m a detail-oriented and solution-focused person who values simplicity, functionality, and creating a good user experience.
Robin: A student who, after spending most of my working life in hands-on professions, chose to transition into IT.
What have you worked on during your time at Zervicepoint?
Tina: During my internship at Zervicepoint, I’ve had the opportunity to work on real projects – not just practice assignments. I’ve been involved in both frontend and backend development, worked with .NET, explored APIs, and started to understand how everything connects behind the scenes.
It has been a very hands-on experience with a strong focus on learning by doing, which suits me really well.
Robin: I have worked both on updating the website and also been involved in customer-facing projects. This has included tasks on both the frontend and backend side, which has been very rewarding as it has helped me broaden my knowledge and skill set.
What has been most rewarding?
Tina: Getting the chance to try things myself. Not just being given tasks, but also being trusted to solve them. It has also been really valuable to see how different developers approach the same problem in completely different ways.
And of course… having great colleagues (and office dogs) definitely makes the experience even better.
Robin: Getting a real sense of what it’s like in a professional work environment. Being part of conversations between colleagues, as well as with customers, has given me a deeper understanding of the workplace culture and different ways of working.
On a practical level, it has been very rewarding to work on projects that have later been used in production.
What does a typical day during your internship look like?
Tina: Coffee first – always. Then we start with a stand-up and plan out the day ahead. After that, it’s usually a mix of coding, debugging, testing, googling, asking questions when needed, and eventually figuring things out.
It’s a good balance between focused work and collaborating with colleagues. I also try to join as many discussions and meetings as possible to understand more than just the code I’m personally working on.
Robin: The day starts with a coffee. After that, I usually sit down and continue working on an ongoing project or start something new. The most important part is the morning coffee – the rest of the day tends to fall into place from there.
What was the biggest adjustment moving from school to your internship?
Tina: Learning to just go for it. In school, you often focus on getting everything “right” from the start, but in a real work environment it’s more about testing, thinking things through, and improving along the way.
I’ve had to let go of some of that perfectionist mindset and trust the process – and myself – a bit more.
Robin: School can feel a bit like a “protected environment” compared to stepping out into an internship. Everything gets more real and serious, and I’ve gained a much clearer understanding of what the role actually involves, which has been very valuable and educational.
Would you recommend others to do their internship at Zervicepoint?
Tina: Yes, without a doubt. It’s a place where you’re allowed to be new while still feeling like a valued part of the team. You learn a lot, get support when you need it, and most importantly – you’re given the opportunity to grow.
Robin: Yes, I would definitely recommend it. It’s a great team, and I’ve felt welcome from the very beginning.
